On my 2 week trip around Vietnam I stayed in some fancy hotels and some mid- range hotels as well. Service was great everywhere you go- but as a vegetarian I must commend Pullman Saigon Centre for going that extra mile! They are rated very highly on TripAdvisor and I can see why!
I had the pleasure of staying on one of the higher floors- and the huge floor to ceiling windows that decorated my room boasted amazing views of the Saigon city centre. This hotel is one of the iconic buildings that make up the skyline- and the views are exceptional!
The Pullman Saigon is really close to Ben Thanh Market, and my favourite vegetarian restaurant Hum. It’s perfectly located in the centre of District 1, so sightseeing is easy- everything is nearby- even in Saigon traffic! It took about 30 minutes from the airport and cost around 132k VND Dong which is about £5. (at the time of writing)- check out Vietnam, rip offs, tips, and crossing the road for ways to survive in Vietnam!
The breakfast was just amazing- so much to choose from! Vegetarian Pho was made especially for me.. But i also devoured the pancakes, fresh juices, eggs and the full international buffet! YUM!
During the loyalty card free canapé/drinks time- both days I was there the Pullman went above and beyond my expectations. Alongside the amount of veggie selection that was available to all guests, they included extra dishes so there was more variety.. But then as I was eating plates of veggie spring rolls, noodles & Pho arrived!! This is more than I can eat in one day- let alone a 2 hour canapé and refreshment experience! Wow!! How kind, thoughtful and nice! I cannot express my gratitude enough- this hotel truly is exceptional!
My room did feel a little small, and I saw some other rooms on my floor that boasted more space… But I had the corner room- and to be honest it was just right!
The staff are all you can expect from a 5* hotel, polite, helpful but not invasive either! They really welcomed me well into Vietnam- I’m ready to start my 2 week trip now!
The pool was FREEZING! Small, but clean.. It wasn’t hot enough to go for a dip just yet!
The hotel has a beautiful rooftop bar- it is actually the highest rooftop bar in Saigon! It’s just great to sit there as the sun goes down and enjoy the amazing vista ahead of you. The cocktails were delicious- and the DJ that came in started to get me in the mood for a big night out! (see video below!) This bar was more chilled out at that time, so I went to Chill bar for a more party vibe. But i loved this hotel bar- they even have an ice cream stand in the adjoining restaurant Cobalt!!
The hotel is perfectly situated in District 1- just walking distance to the fun backpackers district- and near all the main attractions- so make sure you stay here on your trip, for a luxury hotel it is so well priced AND if you are have an Accor loyalty card… even better! If you don’t…apply!
Its also very close to the awesome Chill Sky Bar!
