With only 1 night in Saigon I wanted to make sure that I partied at the best rooftop bar so that I could enjoy the sky line as much as possible. Saigon looks gorgeous at night with the tall buildings twinkling their lights- they have some gorgeous skyscrapers and a colourful vista lower down. Sundowners at the Pullman bar were awesome- but this is a more party place!!
The place was filled with rich locals, and a lot of expats too. People had hired tables outside which were a level higher and had unobstructed views.
The inside bit was nice too- the cocktails are delicious. But its too nice weather so stay inside so I kept outdoors! The outside bar was too full and so I ended up perching on a table that a lovely Vietnamese couple had paid for.
They didnt speak much English but was so friendly and kind.. Soon we were drinking their whisky bottle together- and having Patrone shots too! ‘Yo’ is they way they say ‘cheers’ and soon the neighbouring tables were coming over with their vodka bottles and kept saying ‘yo’ and we’d knock back another shot!
The music was commercial house & dance and the place had an awesome atmosphere! TotalIy loved this place! Its London based prices here- so by Vietnamese prices this is clearly an elite club- but theres no arrogance or pretentiousness (if thats a word!) about it!!
The DJ introduced a another ‘internationally famous’ DJ and next there were fountain fireworks shooting off all around us!! It was as dramatic as a NYE countdown!! The DJ wasnt anyone Id ever heard of but the crowd went wild for him- and he had upped the ante again!!
We chatted with the locals and enjoyed drinking and dancing with our new friends… I honestly loved this bar!
If you’re not on a tight budget and you want a good night out- this is the rooftop bar you need to go to!
