After seeing the Four Seasons Hotel, Tiger Kingdom, Orchid Farm, Monkey Training School I had just enough time to visit this lake.
I was on my own, and my driver and his wife didnt speak a word of English and I was also sat at the back of my own picky picky… So even though I didnt have time to feel lonely, I was really on my own!
This lake is full of locals who come to chill out for the day (or maybe longer) at the lake! The views are gorgeous and the lake is warm enough and clean enough to swim in!
Its surrounded by little bungalows that you can rent and chill out in… Either sunbathing and working your tan or sitting in the bungalow in some shade and enjoying the views and maybe even some local food.
I walked around for a bit with my feet in the water I walked in the lake… Took photos, and reflected on my stay in Chiang Mai.
This is a city I’ve truly fallen in love with- the people are wonderful, there is so much to see and so many classes etc available. Its also a town full of solo travellers and backpackers so it should be on anyones itinerary! Theres loads i didnt do- like ziplining, waterfalls, butterfly farms.. So there is plenty to come back for!!
Next time I come, ill be bringing some friends and drinking some Chaang beer at this lake! Or if im alone, ill be bringing a book and some sun tan lotion!
