This year I had the pleasure of celebrating my 30th birthday. My friends organised an amazing birthday weekend surprise for me.. in fact they organised a few surprises! What amazing friends!! On the Friday night, I had organised a party at a bar/club in Shoreditch but we then spent the night in a beautiful apartment courtesy of Air BnB in Borough.
The next day, feeling quite fragile the girls woke me up and made me a lovely breakfast whilst I plastered my face in make up- trying to hide the evidence of a very heavy night! I had no idea where I was going, and I was not given any instructions as to what I should wear, or anything. As I am a serious planner so this left me feeling pretty uneasy!
We got on the tube and made our way to Euston. I started to feel pretty excited when we approached Kings Cross- I thought that we were on our way to Paris but I was quickly told to lower my expectations! Although when we got to Euston and I was blindfolded….. It was only a short walk until we arrived at Hint Hunt London. Once the blindfold was removed and I saw where we were, I was so excited- this was actually just as good as a trip to Paris!
The less you know about Hint Hunt- the better.. but basically you need to be in a group of 2-5 people (in my opinion 4 people is the perfect size group). You have 60 minutes to get out of the room! You need to solve puzzles, a sudokus, picture challenges, and at some points making sense of nothing. When you are slightly off track you may be given a hint on the screen (you have someone observing you from a hidden room the entire time!). It is absolutely amazing!!! You have to act fast, and work as a team. It gets really heated and competitive- because you want to win!!!
It’s really addictive, and thankfully Hint Hunt London keep adapting their rooms so that addicts like me, can keep visiting and not worry about being in a room where I know the answers. Honestly the puzzles and the challenges involved have been thought of by creative geniuses!!!
Make sure you visit!! Great for a family day out, corporate team building, or just a fun activity with friends in London. Let me know how you get on- or if you have visited anything like this…
