This hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Hamburg. Its a 5 star, luxury grand hotel and I feel tremendously lucky to have had the chance to stay there! Its right by the lake and it is such a tranquil and gorgeous setting. It has been ranked as one of the top hotels in the world- and quite rightly so!
The hotel boasts 4 restaurants and I was really delighted with the effort they went to- to cater for vegetarians like me!
As soon as you walk into the hotel you feel like you’re on a luxury cruise ship from the old days. Every nook and cranny of this hotel boasts character. Each floor has its own quirks, and every time u walk into the hotel you will notice a different feature adorning the walls etc.
This is a tranquil, relaxing hotel. Perfect for those to come back to after a hard days work, or for corporate events etc. It isn’t a ‘party’ atmosphere but it was a lovely place to wind down and relax.. There is the gorgeous Don Cheng’s bar which is like a 1920’s a Shanghai theme. This is with the restaurant of the same name!
Café Condi had a lovely breakfast, set in a smaller room- there was lots to choose from, but really aimed at meat eaters.
Jahreszeitan Terrace is cosy to sit outdoors and enjoy the views.. And the Haerlin restaurant boasts 2 Michelin Stars is one of the leading gourmet restaurants in the whole country! Head Chef Christoph Rüffers offers a beautiful Mediterranean and French inspired menu!
On the same floor as the Spa there is a delightful little lounge bar on the rooftop terrace where I lazed around on the swings drinking cocktails and soaking up the sun. I also enjoyed more cocktails at Wohnhalle bar- sat by the fireplace as I waited for my ride to the airport.
Next time I’m in Hamburg- i know exactly where Im staying!
